Arataki Systems CEO Lee Timutimu was invited by Future Food Aotearoa to speak at the inaugural Taste Tomorrow event in Tamaki Makaurau.
Lee says “My topic was “capturing unique stories and connecting to place of origin”… I shared the story of my great ancestress, Wairaka, and how my hometown Whakatāne received its name as a result of her bravery and courage… An innovator well ahead of her time. A Wahine Toa who possessed great courage and bravery. I am a direct descendant of Wairaka. I proudly follow in her footsteps as an innovator and disruptor. I am fearless and courageous.”
